Alongside her training as an actor, Shenice gets involved in extracurricular work and advocacy that help strengthen her craft and understanding of the industry. She’s passionate about using performance to raise awareness around issues like BLM, feminism, and LGBTQ+ rights. By attending The Black Actors Collective, she’s built meaningful connections and found support among other creatives. Her involvement in protests and short films about topics such as sexual abuse has helped her explore socially driven storytelling and fuelled her drive to use her platform for change.
